Timmons Oil Inc. is a family owned and operated, local business spanning four generations. Currently, there are three generations involved in the daily operation of Timmons Oil. Current owners are the third generation, brother and sister, William H. Timmons and Wendy L. Wolff.
In the late 1970s, founder of Timmons Oil, Guy S. Timmons, purchased a used oil delivery truck from our maternal grandmother, Ruth Davidson. She was the widow of John S. Davidson, owner of John S. Davidson Mobil Oil Products. The intent of that purchase was to supply fuel for the farming operation that “Pap” Timmons operated with our dad and uncles. When neighboring farmers learned we had a delivery truck, they inquired about getting fuel also. That is the humble beginnings of Timmons Oil Inc. Since our dad, William B. Timmons, had previously worked for John Davidson, he was assigned the task of managing the oil deliveries. In 1990, “Pap” dispersed his operations between his sons. Our dad retained the oil business, incorporating it in 1995 and selling it to us in 2003. Since then we have grown to ten oil delivery trucks and two transport tankers. We are still located on the original farm, with the office inside the farmhouse where “Pap” resided.
We deliver fuel oil, farm fuel, kerosene and on-road fuel to most areas in Franklin County. We also serve customers in western Cumberland County. We strive to provide quality products at reasonable prices.
